Shonalee Johnson is a communications strategist with more than 15 years experience in public relations and publishing. In her previous role as Manager of Communications at Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD), she managed the airport’s internal and external communications initiatives for more than six years. Here she executed the company’s public relations plan from groundbreaking to completion of the $409 million airport redevelopment project at LPIA. In addition to Windward PR, she is also a freelance writer for The Bahamas Handbook, The Bahamas Investor and produces content for several online destination publications.
Currently, Shonalee is Vice President and Public Relations Officer for the group Lupus 242 where she works to position the non-profit organization within the local community through a targeted awareness and fundraising campaign including an interactive online community, PSAs, a calendar campaign and scheduled media interviews. Lupus is a cause close to her heart. Her mother, Gwendolyn King has fought lupus for more than 40 years and sister, Shanelle Brennen passed away in March 2017 due to complications from lupus.
